TOXIC SITE ODOUR REMEY -
OLD GAS WORKS SITE - HOUSING DEVELOPEMENT
A major housing development planned on a disused gas works, soon found that to obtain town planning approval the problem of contaminated soil had to be solved. The soil that had been contaminated over a long time and smelt of coal tar and had a high concentration of odours, had to remain on site and not cause any odour complaints from the office blocks that surrounds the site while the excavations were in progress.
A mobile high pressure misting system was designed to contain local odours using "AIR REPAIR" F.S GOLD as the soil was removed, along with old broken gas and oil pipes.
An area selected to hold the soil will be capped and a multi level car park constructed at the completion of the project. But while the soil is being stored, a high pressure fogging system using "AIR REPAIR" F.S GOLD has been erected over the contaminated area to neutralise the odours being emitted from the site.
The total odour neutralisation of the site has been a complete success with no lost days due to the site being closed because of odour complaints.
